About ME

With an academic background in plant science, I have had the privilege of working as a coffee agronomist in the Kaffa Zone, the birthplace of Arabica coffee. My education and hands-on experience in coffee agronomy, from seed preparation to fine processing, fueled my passion for becoming a qualified cupper.

My cupping journey began in 2009 with the establishment of the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange, where I grew into a senior cupper at the Export Coffee Inspection and Certification Center. As a certified Arabica coffee Q-Grader since 2009, I have gained invaluable insights into the coffee industry.

I identified a critical gap in quality management among both suppliers and exporters, who often trade coffee without prioritizing consistency. This knowledge gap directly affects importers, and I am committed to addressing it by leveraging my extensive experience to foster trust among suppliers, exporters, and importers, while ensuring adherence to contractual agreements.

This commitment led to the founding of BEM coffee Arabica Coffee Consultancy and Quality Control company. As a coffee cupping trainer, consultant, and quality controller, I am dedicated to addressing coffee quality issues. Our team is comprised of experienced professionals who specialize in documentation, communication, and other coffee-related activities, ensuring we can assist clients with all aspects of coffee marketing.
